Vietnamise Youth
My impressions of Vietnam were hurt today as a 10 year old was pushing weed on to me. This kid was determined too, when I raised my doubts, he quickly reasurred me that weed was good for me, and that I should buy some from him.
Now, weed sales I can deel with, but what really got to me was, this kid was also pushing tabacco. That's right, a tabacoo-pusher, one them old tab-push'ers. Simple appauling.
To be fair, despite the sickles and hammers everywhere, I notice a capitalist spirit in everyone I meet here. So capitalist that every person with a motorcycle (90% of the people here) holla at me to give me a ride, everyone with a bag follows me trying to get me to buy things, little girls trying to sell my roses and drugs. It's somewhat.... annoying and bothersome, extremly so actually. Makes me wonder i they're really that poor though :(
Not as appauling I guess as those pictures and stories about certain things the Americans did to the Vietnamise, or that jar of the conjoined twins. (You'd think it'd taste good, but you know what? It doesn't)
ANYWAYS, everything else here is cool, been chillaxing with two Chillaien girls. Well, 25 year olds, whatever. Tomorrow we're going to go see some tunnels. Aparently the vietnamise developed an affinity for tunnels in the late 60s and the 70s
Wow, I'm passing out, concious for.. 36 hours or so.. and still gots ta pack tonight. :(
PS. My shower is the entire bathroom.. It's weird.
